Can’t get a city unit for my spec for gas tank

Seems theres no way to get in contact with you guys when I think I have the right number but it sounds like they only speak French. I was looking into buying a new sending unit for the gas tank I bought from you or bought it from eBay its a specter tank Six months later the fuel pump went out but another one on my own turns out after a year it was it it was always defective so I put a new one in recently and it works fine but the sending units been in and out of the car so many times it does a crack in the sending unit for the gauge inside the tank so rather than buy a whole new fuel tank and start all over and risk getting another one with a bad fuel pump. I finally got a really good fuel pump but now my gas gauge is broke from dragging it in and out so many times

Not the right Radiator

I bought a radiator from Napa in Edmonton Alberta paid 409.00 got a discount and then paid 368.00 . So i took it to my mechanic and got it installed.

When i got home i thought i would take a look at it to my surprise it is the white radiator with he weird looking foil that looks like a filter that you put in a furnace and does not fit and no warranty. The mechanic installed it to the best of his knowledge. I am a elderly lady that is trying to restore the car but it seems everyone is jerky me around , so are we going to do it is already installed but i want the good one by the way i know what is good quality and not so good.

I read that that the white one is no longer available due to a non modification which means not modified which means no warranty. i never buy anything without a warranty .

CU2837 Radiator Drain Plug

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I own a Spectra Premium Radiator. The unit has worked well for 4 years. Impressive! But recently, I noticed that all of my coolant had poured out on the floor of my garage. I first thought that the radiator had a leak. Turns out, the drain petcock/plug simply broke off at the thumb/twist part of the plug. The plug is size M12 X 1.75. I had not touched that part of the radiator in years.

After searching for a replacement plug everywhere (all local auto parts stores, GM dealership parts dept., Amazon, etc.) as well as the Internet and every parts store (i.e. Dorman) on there, I found no drain *** to replace the broken one on my Spectra PREMIUM Radiator.

Then, I contacted the Spectra Premium website. After several email exchanges with the tech department, here's the final message:

"Good day,

Unfortunately, our drain plug only comes with our radiators and depending on our supplier it will be different. All the aftermarket is made the same way. We dont have any drain plug separately and dont have any part number for it. We are sorry for the inconvenient."

Does it make sense to sell a radiator and no replacement parts for it? What sense does it make to simply cripple my car over a $5 replacement part or even part number so I an find the part myself?

This is unacceptable for any business. And I suspect the purpose for this is to make the customer simply have to purchase another radiator for $200+. That is sad!

If I can find where to purchase the part (and I've spent days and hours doing so already because I can't afford a new radiator for my car), I will do so. But how in the world can I do so if even the company has no idea of how to acquire one? This simply makes no kind of sense.

My car has been sitting idle for weeks because of this. Here's my address in case a radiator drain plug/petcock is found:

3717 County Road 4610

Athens, Tx. 75752

Please help.

Thanks.

Steve

Pros:
  • Radiator has lasted 4 years
Cons:
  • No replacement for broken drain plug available from local
  • Online or any other parts store including spectra company

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution

User's recommendation: Do not buy! Not worth having to buy a new radiator($200+) because a $5 part cannot be found to replace the one broken and radiator works fine..

5th oil pan exchanged/refunded.

Bought the first new oil pan from a parts store (no name needed as several parts stores sell spectra products) a few months back. Since then it has been nothing but trouble.

Casting issues are the problem with the aluminum oil pans for chrysler sebrings. Pinholes , peeling , and cracks on 5 spectra pans . Today I have missed work, again , to go through another manufacturer. QC needs to inspect the molds and the metal composition.

The only reason I didn't go back every day for a new pan, is because it was costing me $200+ per day I missed work. $30 a week for 4 quarts of oil was better than losing $1000+ a week waiting on yet another new defective oil pan to come in.

My experience with your product was horrible. Missed work and lost several hundred dollars.

Do not use spectra fuel pumps, I am a shop owner installed a spectra fuel pump it went bad 1 week later was only putting out 7 volts the company does not pay for the warranty labor on these parts, so watch out for them, there products fail more than not. As a shop they just cost me 235.00 of rack time for there faulty part

Part doesn't work right

Unit worked fine pre testing, moved my gauge fine. After installation tank only goes to 1/4. Second time with this unit. I've heard the same complaints from other customers. This is a very expensive problem getting the tank taken out and installation.
